Technology Application Standard

I realy think that all teachers should have some kind of technology application standard, because this is were the future is at rite now. The teachers that has been teaching for years that do not no about the different kinds of technology that are out there to be learned, need to take some type of class were they can teach the kids of the future.

PodCasting......

What i learned about podcasting is that it is very new to me, but i also think it can be very resourceful not only to me but the average joe that work long hours and can never seem to catch his or her T.V. show's at the rite time. This way by podcasting you can go back and watch anything you missed at any point and any time of the day. By podcasting you can be up to date of whats going on , on the other side of the world, for example if you wanted to watch a movie that was not in the United States you can log on to the web and get that information were you can watch the movie. The way it can be resourceful in the class room, for example if a teacher could not make it to class they could recored themself's were the students can log on to their site and podcast the information to them or the class.
Next, podcasting is similar to alot of different other website we have talked about in class, for instance web 2.0 application you can get alot of real time information from that as well.
Last, my reflection on useing different device's. i personaly do not own an ipod or Mp3 player, but i have used they before, they actually come in handy when you are working out or jogging. since im trying to keep up with today's technology i will be getting one and making it more usefull in my everyday lifestyle.

WEB 2.0 APPLICATIONS

What i think about wiki's, i think that they are a great source of information for everyone, for example if a person wanted to get great information about some type of news coverage of whats going on in the world today you can go to this website and get tons and tons creditable and vauable resources. Second it can be great for teacher's as well, for example if a teacher gives out a assiments in class students can benifit by social networking getting and giving great information to other fellow classmates. there are quite a few people that don't like useing this website, because they reather goggle and get information this way. this technology is the future for kids to get more knowledge and become more proficient in how the website's are used in today's times.

Copyright, fair use & online safety

The things i have learned so far in class are pretty cool, as a result i know how to copy and paste a you tube video on my Blog. This is very new to me but when i get the right information of how to post different things its a very fun thing to do. The other things i have learned is if someone copy's a motion film that is showing at the movie's and go sell copy's of that film, this is called bootleg, and you can go to jail and get a really big fine. i learned that copyright material used in multimedia projects may remain in the students portfolio forever. I also have learned if i rent a movie and show the movie in class it is fair ues act. The different things i have learned in class will be very usefull to me now that i know more about online safety, and fair use, because there are rules when getting on the computer, and people take things very personal when it comes to copyright, fair use & on line safety.
How do you feel about it?
I feel really great about learning different things about the computer, because when i first started i just knew how to do a few things on the computer. i feel that technology is the future, and if you are not searching for knowledge you will get left behined, because almost everything is being ran by computer's now day's. Even though i feel good rite now about the class im in, i believe i can do much more with social networking, meeting different people, and i won't be truely satisfied utill i can get on the computer and it become's like a second nature to me.  So the Question is how do i feel about what i have learned so far, and i say there is no limit to what i can achieve in this class, the sky is the limit long as i stay focus and ask questions because even geniuses ask questions.

Mapping activity

When i first got into useing the world wide web, i just got sll my information from  google, and every web site i was on i dident think or care who web site i was on or who owned the web site. i dident know what the URL was or what it was used for, and as a result my computer crashed alot.  so i aways had to call the subscriber that i was with, and they would allways tell me on the phone that i had a virse on my computer, basically due to me not knowing to much of what i was doing on the computer, i would click on every thing trying to get information of what i was looking up at that particular moment. so as you can i really stuggled when i first started getting on the world wide web. i had alot of trouble submitting homework, and still do sometimes.
Now, that im so called not a rookie any more, but its still tough at times. i can get on the world wide web and look up information, and what ever web site im on i pay a little more attention of who's web site it is. not that i really care of who web site it is, but it's just the fact that i can find out who page im on if i wanted to, or if one day i got too. i really think that the URL is pretty cool now that i know what it is, that is a person personal information were anyone can get in contact with a person. like an address.
Last, my overall conception of me learning different things about the computer before i started the class, and the things i learned so far from coming to class i would give my self an A. just knowing these different aspect of the commputer the in and out's it make you feel like you can get on the internet get on any website and not have a proublem cause you seen it before. just like this blog i never blogged before, but i do like it, it's something new to me.
